Costco at Westgate West?
Costco Wholesale is planning to build an oversized membership-only warehouse store directly next to Country Lane neighborhood.
We are a group of your neighbors who oppose this project. We are concerned about issues including noise, traffic and safety.
- Costco Wholesale - Warehouse Size and Traffic To/From Graves Ave The new Costco will be 40 feet high, nearly 4 acres in size, and will add 300 new surface and rooftop parking spaces. It will serve 6,500 customers a day who will access the store through our neighborhood via Graves Ave.
- Hours of Operation Costco will be open 7 days a week, with operations from 2am–9pm every day, including 10 semi-trailers coming and going every day between 2am–1pm, plus untold numbers of same-day delivery drivers.
- Demolition Scope Costco will demolish many existing businesses to make way for the warehouse: Smart & Final, Sutter Health, Domino’s Pizza, Bikram Yoga, Ethan Allen, Goodwill, the UPS Store and more.
- Of course we want business to thrive at Westgate West – that's good for the neighborhood and good for the city. We want businesses on scale for this neighborhood, not an oversized private warehouse club crammed into an undersized site.
